Its foremost purpose is ensuring the welfare of the Korean Americans, and the Korean American community in Chicagoland. While the association promotes unity within the community, it introduces and increases the awareness of Korean culture to other ethnic groups within the US. It works as the information center to the Korean American community, providing necessary counsel, regarding US culture, economy, education, system, social services, and politics.

The mission of the Korean American Coalition of Chicago is to promote the civic participation of Korean Americans through advocacy, community service, leadership development, and cultural education.

The City of Chicago, Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection's (BACP) Neighborhood Business Development Centers (NBDC) offer several program types to  deliver highly specialized business programs and services that help entrepreneurs start, business owners grow or sustain their small businesses, as well as assist their NBDC Program peers to build their respective capacities.

The mission of the National Asian Pacific Islander Mental Health Association is to promote the mental health and well being of the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. NAAPIMHA strives to raise awareness of the role of mental health in an individual's health and well-being, especially in Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities throughout the country.

The Pui Tak Center was established by the Chinese Christian Union Church to be a Christian witness to Chinese in Chicago through educational, family, and community services.
