IADO mobilizes South Asian Americans to participate in the political process, run for public office, and champion policies that impact the community.

The IJ Clinic on Entrepreneurship provides free legal assistance, support and advocacy for low-income entrepreneurs in Chicago. The IJ Clinic also trains the next generation of attorneys to be vigorous and creative advocates for entrepreneurs.

Its foremost purpose is ensuring the welfare of the Korean Americans, and the Korean American community in Chicagoland. While the association promotes unity within the community, it introduces and increases the awareness of Korean culture to other ethnic groups within the US. It works as the information center to the Korean American community, providing necessary counsel, regarding US culture, economy, education, system, social services, and politics.

The mission of the Korean American Coalition of Chicago is to promote the civic participation of Korean Americans through advocacy, community service, leadership development, and cultural education.
